On Sunday Prose…Watching and Joining

I have so many of these posts, collected over a long period of time, that I’ve stopped counting how many. I don’t have to. For each instance one is revealed, an onslaught of others follow.

Many are willing to tell their stories. Many will be given voice. Many will be heard.

Each story is a little different. Each one is a testament to the women who continue to battle back.

Each one is a testament to the children who choose to walk away from the hypocrisy – the ancient and creaking misery machine.

Some relate to my own personal situation, some are not mine.

All are relevant and all are true accounts, however brief, of injustices served by women and children at the mercy of a system that forever fails them. Most have connotations of religious persecution.

Every fleeting glimpse into their lives or mine, every opening of the flood gates (and there were many floods), was accompanied by pain felt in raw and unhealed wounds

The names of each source, individual, woman, child, witness remain confidential in interest of respect for their privacy, so often violated and desecrated during their personal experience.

Many are willing to tell their stories. Many will be given voice. Many will be heard.
