Racist Remarks Rebuked by Boston Bruins

Boston – The Boston Bruins organization released the following statement in response to racist remarks made against P.K. Subban of the Montreal Canadiens after the Bruin’s Thursday night 4-3 loss in double overtime.

From Boston Bruins President Cam Neely:

“The racist, classless views expressed by an ignorant group of individuals following Thursday’s game via digital media are in no way a reflection of anyone associated with the Bruins organization.”

Subban’s powerplay goal at 4:17 of the second overtime clinched the win for the Canadiens. It was his second powerplay goal of the game.

Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
